The present disclosure relates to a secondary battery that can be charged and discharged, and may include an electrode assembly; a pouch-type exterior material having an internal space that accommodates the electrode assembly and an exterior material opening that allows the internal space to communicate with the outside; and a cover member inserted into the exterior material opening, wherein the cover member may include a body portion blocking the exterior material opening; and a leg portion extending from the body portion toward the internal space.
