Prismatic type battery cell comprising: box-shaped metal case, which, in turn, comprises a first base wall and a second base wall, opposite one another along a longitudinal axis of the cell; a stack comprising a plurality of electrode plates alternating with each other and interspaced by separator material foils; wherein the electrode plates are alternately anode plates and cathode plates, which extend lengthwise along the longitudinal axis and widthwise along a transverse axis, perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, respectively; wherein the anode plates project, along the longitudinal axis, first metal terminal elements toward the first base wall; the cathode plates project, along the longitudinal axis, in the opposite direction relative to the first metal terminal elements, second metal terminal elements toward the second base wall; the second metal terminal elements extend across the entire width of the cathode plates.
