Brake with an emergency venting device which has an adjustment ring rotatably supported on a housing, which has an emergency venting position and an operating position, wherein in the housing at least one tension element is displaceably supported which has a driver projecting in the radial direction from the housing, which bears against an adjustment section and which, during an adjustment operation of the adjustment ring into its emergency venting position, moves the tension element into a position venting the brake, wherein in the area of the emergency venting position means are provided holding the driver.
