The invention relates to a trailer for a motor vehicle, the trailer (10) comprising: - a running gear; - a longitudinal drawbar which comprises at least one rear arm with a beam (52) whose rear longitudinal end section (54) is intended to be fixed to the chassis - for example to the side rails (13) - by fastening means; characterized in that the fastening means comprise self-locking interlocking means formed of a first interlocking member carried by the rear end section (54) of the arm which is intended to be interlocked with a second complementary interlocking member (50) carried by the chassis or the side rails (13), the fastening means comprising locking means for the interlocking members in the interlocked position which are controlled between a release state and a locked state.
