The beam (10) has a trailer coupling receiver (44), and a support tube assembly (18) extending along a support tube assembly-longitudinal axis (L) and comprising support pipes (20, 22). An end region-fastening arrangement (24) has a fastening section for fastening the arrangement to a longitudinal end region of the support tube assembly. The arrangement has another fastening section for fastening the arrangement to a frame (16) of a lorry. The former fastening section is formed for clamping engagement with the support tube assembly.
