The invention relates to a seat base frame (20) for a motor vehicle seat comprising: - two longitudinal rails (21) equipped with means for fixing to a floor of the motor vehicle, and - a base frame (22) which is adapted to receive a seat cushion and which is mounted on the two rails. According to the invention, the seat base frame comprises a stop element (23) which is fixed to the base frame and which is adapted to come into contact with one of the rails in the event of a lateral impact on the motor vehicle.
