The invention relates to a motor vehicle seat () having a seat cushion frame () which has seat cushion frame side members () and is supported by a four-element linkage with front and rear coupling linkages () at a height H relative to a floor, and with a backrest frame () which has backrest frame side members (). A change in the height H of the seat cushion frame () is possible via a seat height adjustment device. By means of a backrest inclination adjustment device (), a change in the inclination of the backrest frame () can be effected. A connecting tube () connects the two seat cushion frame side members () to one another. The connecting tube () is also connected to the rear coupling linkages (). The adjustment axis runs through the cross-section of the connecting tube ().
