January 25, 2017
According to a method for determining a prospective route by means of a navigation system (100), a plurality of destinations are stored in a memory unit (142), wherein one of the destinations is input by a user into the navigation system (100). The navigation system (100) is moved in an area such that the navigation system (100) reaches a plurality of positions, wherein each of the positions is determined by means of a position determination unit (170) and stored in the memory unit (142). By means of a computing unit (152), the destination is automatically selected from the plurality of destinations, wherein the destination is not arranged at any position that was determined by means of the position determination unit (170) and that is stored in the memory unit (142). By means of the computing unit (152), the prospective route is determined, which leads to the destination.
