HEAD REST FOR A VEHICLE SEAT

A headrest (4) for a vehicle seat (1) has a headrest body (4a) and a headrest cover (4b) which at least partially surrounds the headrest body (4a). At two lateral positions of the headrest body (4a) and/or the headrest cover (4b) which are spaced apart from one another in the horizontal direction (x), a strip-shaped elastic band (6) running in a substantially horizontal direction (x) is attached. The elastic band (6) is not connected to the headrest body (4a) and/or the headrest cover (4b) at least at a section of its upper end (6a), so that an opening (7a) can be created between the elastic band (6) and the headrest body (4a) and/or the headrest cover (4b).
