Loading tailboard system

The liftgate system for fastening to motor vehicles (11) has two spaced apart support mechanisms parallel to one another in a parallel link form, and a platform-like liftgate (15). The two support mechanisms are fastened partially on the vehicle via hinge elements (28,29) which are spaced apart parallel to one another and mounted to rotate around a horizontal pivot point (280,290) extending parallel to the surface of the liftgate. The spaced apart hinge elements are interconnected by a connecting element and each formed by a pair of plates (281,282:291,292) spaced apart parallel to one another.
