METHOD FOR ADJUSTING AN AXLE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

The invention relates to a method for adjusting an axle of a motor vehicle, in particular a method for axle adjustment when connecting a chassis of a motor vehicle to a motor vehicle body and/or to a vehicle frame structure, in which by applying one or more shims an axle inclination, a center offset, an angularity to the vehicle longitudinal axis, a caster and/or a camber of an axle are adjusted. According to the invention, at least one of the shims used for axle adjustment is designed as a split shim (20, 50). The invention further relates to such a shim.
