The present invention relates to a method for headlight range control and a headlight range control device for a motor vehicle, wherein a setpoint value is formed as a function of the vehicle body inclination from measured values for dynamic adjustment of the lighting devices in order to control lighting actuators for adjusting the inclination of the motor vehicle lighting devices. In order to improve the control characteristic, the invention proposes that as a measured value for determining a future control setpoint, at least one such operating parameter of a vehicle component is included which is temporally leading and correlates with an expected vehicle body inclination.
