AIR VENT
DRIVE
December 14, 2016
Air outlet (1) which consists of a housing (4) with at least one opening (7) for supplying an air stream and an opening (8) for discharging the supplied air stream. The air stream is supplied to the air outlet from an air supply shaft or from an air supply line in heating, ventilation or air conditioning systems, in particular for passenger compartments in motor vehicles. The air outlet can be inserted into or mounted behind a wall opening with its housing (4). In the housing, an insert (2) mounted rotatably and/or pivotably about a bearing, with at least one arrangement (3) for guiding and/or deflecting the supplied air stream and an element (5) arranged centrally in the insert, is disposed. The insert is connected with the at least one arrangement (3, 9) for guiding and/or deflecting the supplied air stream. The bearing is arranged on the central longitudinal axis of the housing (4). The bearing is accomplished by means of a bearing (6) consisting of a bearing shell (25) in which a spherical element (24) is located that is in operative connection with the insert during a rotational movement of the insert (2), but is in no operative connection with it during a pivoting or tilting of the insert (2). Furthermore, an optical coupling of two light guides (17, 28) is provided in the bearing, which serve to illuminate the air outlet.
