The invention relates to a transmission (5) having at least a first and a second shaft (10, 30), wherein at least a first and a second shift group (40, 50) are arranged between the first and the second shaft (10, 30), each of the shift groups (40, 50) having at least two individually switchable transmission units that differ from one another with regard to their gear ratio. According to the invention, the first shift group (40) can be brought into operative connection with the first shaft (10) via a planetary stage (60), which is designed such that mechanical power introduced via the first shaft (10) can be transmitted to the second shaft (30) via a first and/or a second connectable or disconnectable power path, wherein each power path is assigned at least one transmission unit of the first shift group (40), and wherein in at least one switching state of the first shift group (40) the power flow runs via at least one transmission unit of the first and the second power path respectively.
