The invention relates to a counterweight fork lift truck (1) with a vehicle frame (3) and a counterweight (12) and an internal combustion engine (13) designed as a fuel gas engine, wherein a fuel gas bottle console (20) for receiving and fastening a fuel gas bottle (21) is arranged vertically above the counterweight (12). In order to protect the counterweight during replacement of the fuel gas bottle (21) from damage, a storage device (25) extending in the direction toward the vehicle rear is arranged adjacent to the fuel gas bottle console (20) in the vehicle longitudinal direction (L) above the counterweight (12), which enables storage of the fuel gas bottle (21).
