Transmission (1) for a motor vehicle, wherein the transmission (1) comprises a drive shaft (3), an output shaft (4), an electric machine (2) with a rotationally fixed stator (9) and a rotatable rotor (11), three planetary gear sets (P1, P2, P3), and five switching elements (A, B, C, D, E), wherein the three planetary gear sets (P1, P2, P3) together comprise five shafts (W1, W2, W3, W4, W5) designated in the order of their speed ranking as first, second, third, fourth and fifth shafts, wherein the drive shaft (3) can be connected via the first switching element (A) to the fifth shaft (W5) and via the fifth switching element (E) to the third shaft (W3), wherein the output shaft (4) is permanently connected to the fourth shaft (W4), wherein by closing the second switching element (B) the first shaft (W1), by closing the third switching element (C) the second shaft (W2) and by closing the fourth switching element (D) the third shaft (W3) can be fixed rotationally, and wherein the rotor (11) is permanently connected to the first shaft (W1).
