The invention relates to a fuel injection valve of an internal combustion engine, wherein the fuel injection valve has a holding body 1 and a nozzle body 3, wherein the holding body 1 and the nozzle body 3 have a central recess accommodating a fuel needle 2 and/or an actuating rod, which recess is filled with fuel, wherein opposing end faces 7a, 7b of the holding body 1 and the nozzle body 3 are clamped against each other by means of a union nut 8. According to the invention, a fuel injection valve is provided which has an improved seal to the surroundings. This is achieved in that at least one of the end faces 7a, 7b has a groove encompassing the recess, into which a ring sealing element 14 is inserted. The ring sealing element 14 consists of an outer and an inner ring seal 15a, 15b, which have different properties.
