A hot gas control valve (10), in particular an exhaust gas control valve, has a housing (12) and a shut-off body (16) arranged on a valve rod (14), wherein the valve rod (14) is mounted on the housing side and executes a rotational movement when the shut-off body (16) is actuated. In the region of the housing (12), there is at least one scraping edge (30) facing the valve rod (14) and terminating close to the surface of the valve rod (14) for scraping off deposits located on the section of the valve rod (14) that is exposed to the hot gas in the extended state of the valve rod (14).
