Exhaust gaz recirculation valve

The exhaust gas recirculation valve has an actuating section (1) and a valve section (2) with a valve seat (5) between an exhaust gas inlet and outlet. A shut-off component (6) is acted upon by a valve rod (7) operated by the actuating section. The actuating section is connected to the valve section gastight, and the valve rod side facing away from the valve shut-off component outside the bore is enclosed by an atmospherically aerated chamber (9). The chamber is connected to atmosphere by a check valve (10) which may be electrically operated.
