FILTER ELEMENT WITH FLAP AND FILTER SYSTEM

The invention relates to a filter element (10) for filtering a fluid. The filter element (10) comprises at least one, in particular flat, filter cartridge (12) made of a filter medium (14) with an intended raw side (52) and an intended clean side (50) opposite to it. Around the end faces (16, 17, 18, 19) surrounding the filter cartridge (12), a side band (28) is arranged circumferentially and applied over a surface area. On an outer side of the side band (28), a circumferential seal (32) is arranged. The side band (28) has a flap (36) projecting over the clean side (50) of the filter cartridge (12), which flap (36) can be arranged in a V-shaped folded-back manner over the seal (32) at the end faces (16, 17, 18, 19). The invention further relates to a filter system (100) with such a replaceable filter element (10) as well as a use of the filter system (100) for air filtration, in particular for interior air filtration, in particular of a vehicle.
