A SIDE CURTAIN SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
DRIVE
September 28, 2016
A system for a vehicle body includes a side curtain that, relative to an in-use orientation, is suspendable from a track of the body by roller devices secured along an upper edge to enable the curtain to be drawn along the track. A post engaged or engageable with one end of the side curtain is rotatably mountable adjacent to one end of the body for horizontally tensioning the curtain. A rope or cable extends along and is engaged with the curtain at each of at least three longitudinally spaced engagement regions along a lower margin of the curtain, including at least two upper regions, and a respective lower region between each successive pairs of upper regions. A tensioning device is operable for drawing the one of opposite ends of the rope or cable horizontally whereby, with the rope or cable held against lifting at each lower engagement region, the rope or cable can be horizontally tensioned for vertically tensioning the curtain
