Load carrying vehicle

A load carrying vehicle comprising at least one flexible curtain partially or wholly extending across a side of the vehicle from an upper vehicle frame member, the or each curtain; (i) being vertically raisable in a concertina, folded or compressed manner between a transport position and a loading position by a plurality of lifting cables operable by one or more lifting mechanisms located on one or more sides of the vehicle, (ii) comprising a plurality of vertical reinforcement wires, and (iii) including one or more tensioning components along its lowermost side adapted to co-operate with one or more tensioning members along the side of the vehicle, and able to tension the curtain in its transport position.
