FILTER ELEMENT

The invention relates to a filter element (10) comprising a filter body (12) in concentric form with a longitudinal axis (L), a first end plate (16) arranged open or closed on an end face (15), and a second end plate (18) arranged on the opposite end face (17), a support tube (14) arranged concentrically around the longitudinal axis (L) between the first and second end plates (16, 18), wherein at least one of the end plates (16, 18) has one or more support lugs (20) which extend axially outward and are arranged circularly around the longitudinal axis (L) and, upon installation in a receiving housing (108), rest against an inner cover contour (114) of the housing (108), fold outward in the radial direction (38), and support themselves axially and radially on the housing (108). The invention furthermore relates to a filter system (100) for the exchangeable installation of such a filter element (10).
