A filler neck for a fuel tank, wherein the filler neck (1) comprises a housing shell (2) and a housing base (3), wherein in the housing base (3) a filler tube opening (4) is formed for connection with a filler tube (5), wherein in the housing shell (2) a connection opening (6) is formed, wherein the housing base (3) is a separate component from the housing shell (2).
