The present invention relates to a method for improving the traffic safety for a vehicle, the method comprising the following steps: sending a parking safety request to an infrastructure; receiving pre-warning information that is sent by the infrastructure in response to the parking safety request; detecting a safety trigger event if the pre-warning information indicates that the opening of the door of the vehicle will result in a dangerous situation; and triggering safety measures where the safety trigger event is detected.
