SYSTEM CONTROL APPARATUS AND SYSTEM CONTROL METHOD FOR BATTERY CHARGING-DISCHARGING SYSTEM

A system control apparatus and a system control method for a battery charging/discharging system are provided. The battery charging/discharging system includes first to m-th charging/discharging groups. Each charging/discharging group includes a plurality of facility sets connected through a direct current (DC) power channel. Each facility set includes a converter and a charger/discharger. The system control apparatus includes a controller to monitor first to m-th group state information of the first to m-th charging/discharging groups. The controller controls an operation mode of the converter of each of the plurality of facility sets included in each operating charging/discharging group of the first to m-th charging/discharging groups by comparing a load factor of each of the operating charging/discharging groups with a reference load factor range, based on the first to m-th group state information. m is a natural number of 2 or greater.
