INSTRUMENTED TURBINE EXHAUST DUCT

A gas turbine engine exhaust system comprises an instrumented exhaust duct (30) including a set of exhaust temperature probes (50; 52) installed at the exhaust end (30b; 30c) of the duct (30) in an air space (G) between an engine outer case (18) and a surrounding engine nacelle (N). A shield (60) is removably installed at the end (30b; 30c) of the exhaust duct (30) to protect the probes (50; 52) and associated wiring in the air space (G).
