A thermal shielding arrangement for a turbine probe (22) comprises a heat shield having first and second mating portions (40, 42) axially engaged in overlapping relationship around a probe (22) extending through an air cavity (34) between an exhaust case (15) and a turbine housing (24). The first mating portion (40) is provided on a radially outer surface of the turbine housing (24). The second mating portion (42) projects radially inwardly from a radially inner surface (30a) of the exhaust case (15).
