A sealing plug is applied to a battery cell having a housing. The housing is provided with a through hole. The sealing plug seals the through hole, and includes a thermally deformable portion, where the thermally deformable portion covers at least part of the through hole, and the thermally deformable portion is configured to at least partially deform when temperature is higher than a preset threshold, so that the accommodating cavity communicates with the external environment.
