An exhaust heat recovery system according to the present disclosure includes an exhaust heat generator, a cooling path, a first heat exchanger, an intermediate path, a cooler, a second heat exchanger, a flow path switching unit switched between a main path and a branched path, a hot water supply path, a switching determination unit, a hot water supply pump, and a controller. The controller is configured to cause the hot water supply pump to stop, cause the flow path switching unit to switch to the branched path, and cause the cooler to operate, when a first temperature becomes higher than a first predetermined temperature or a second temperature becomes higher than a second predetermined temperature. The controller is further configured to cause the hot water supply pump to operate in a predetermined cycle during the stop of the hot water supply pump is stopped, and, when, during the operation of the hot water supply pump in the predetermined cycle, the first temperature varies by a predetermined value or more or the second temperature becomes lower than a third predetermined temperature, cause the hot water supply pump to operate, cause the flow path switching unit to switch to the main path, and cause the cooler to stop.
