Provided is a pneumatic tire that can suppress decrease in air sealing performance due to a sound absorbing material. A pneumatic tire 1 includes: a tread portion 2; a self-sealing sealant layer 10 disposed on a tire inner cavity i side of the tread portion 2; and a sound absorbing material 12, in a form of a sponge, fixed to the sealant layer 10. The sealant layer 10 includes, in a front view of the tire inner cavity i, a first region 101 having a surface that is covered with the sound absorbing material 12 and a second region 102 having a surface that is not covered with the sound absorbing material 12. In a first tire cross section, a sealant layer thickness of at least a part of the first region 101 is smaller than a sealant layer thickness of the second region 102.
