SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INPUT POWER DETECTION OF TWO POWER SOURCES USING SINGLE MONITORING CIRCUIT

A voltage supply system that includes a first power supply branch (206) and a second power supply branch (208). Both branches include a voltage supply (V_1/V_2); a serially connected diode (D1/D2) and switch (S1/S2) connected between the voltage supply and an output (202) of the voltage supply system; and a gate driver (210/216) connected to the first switch (S1) to control operation of the switch. The system also includes a voltage monitor/controller (204) configured to perform a built-in test of the system by controlling the state of the first and second switches (S1/S2) by controlling enable signals (EN1/EN2) provided to the first and second gate drivers (210/216).
