METHOD FOR TRANSITIONING CONTROL OF A VEHICLE, DATA PROCESSING APPARATUS AND AUTONOMOUS DRIVING SYSTEM

The disclosure relates to a method for determining a notification procedure for prompting a human driver of a vehicle to take over control from an autonomous driving system of the vehicle. The notification procedure is at least defined by a notification starting time and a first notification type. The method comprises receiving a take-over request and an associated take-over time information (S1), determining a driver attribute describing the human driver (S2), and determining a notification starting time and a first notification type depending on the driver attribute (S3). Moreover, a method for transitioning control of a vehicle from an autonomous driving system to a human driver is presented. Additionally, a corresponding data processing apparatus and an autonomous driving system comprising such a data processing apparatus are explained.
