The invention relates to a method of controlling a display device (10) in a vehicle (1). A content to be displayed by the display device (10) is provided. A drive situation dependent condition is determined and based on the determined drive dependent condition a view adjustment function is determined, the view adjustment function including a positional adjustment and a perspective adjustment of a view (11) of the content. An adjusted view (12) of the content is determined in accordance with the view adjustment function, and the content is displayed in the adjusted view (12) by the display device (10).
