From the prior art, retaining elements are known that stabilize the sitting posture of persons in the vehicle by being designed as a corset which encloses the entire torso of the person. However, this solution requires a custom-made retaining element. The invention is not applicable to all age groups, but only to small children. Furthermore, the solution severely restricts freedom of movement. [0002] The present invention solves this by fastening the retaining element to a three-point belt and to a fixed point in the vehicle, whereby the head-neck region of the person is stabilized when sitting in a vehicle. By means of several alternative connecting elements, the length of the retaining element can furthermore be adjusted. Thus, the invention is suitable for different age groups.
