A transmission system for an agricultural vehicle, comprising a prime mover (10), a first axle (60), a second axle (70), wherein the first axle (60) is a driving axle coupled to the prime mover (10), the second axle (70) is selectively coupled to the engine (10) through a first clutch (C1) and a second clutch (C2), the first clutch (C1) and the second clutch (C2) having distinct reduction ratios, the system being characterized in that it comprises a controller (50), adapted to engage simultaneously both the first clutch (C1) and the second clutch (C2) so as to immobilize the first axle (60) and second axle (70).
