The present invention relates to a radome (16) for a radar device (10) of a vehicle (12), comprising a front member (18) made of a radar-transparent resin having a first homogeneous electromagnetic thickness (T1), a second member (19) made of a radar-transparent resin having a second homogeneous electromagnetic thickness (T2), and a first gap (36) between the front member (18) and the second member (19) of a third homogeneous electromagnetic thickness (T3), either filled by a gas, or filled by a radar-transparent resin, wherein either the front member (18), the second member (19) and the first gap (36) are each individually optimized for radar performance metrics or the unit (38) consisting of the front member (18), the second member (19) and the first gap (36) is optimized for radar performance metrics. Further, the invention is directed to a radar device (10) comprising such a radome (16), a cladding component (22) comprising such a radar device (10) or such a radome (16), and a vehicle equipped with such a radar device (10) and/or such a cladding component (22).
