The invention relates to a component having an emblem or decoration, in particular a radome on a motor vehicle, comprising an outer flat or convexly curved front shell (1) made of transparent plastic, on whose flat or concavely curved rear side at least one paint layer (3), in particular a silver-glossy paint layer, is applied as decoration layer(s), and a rear cover shell (2) made of plastic that fits against the rear side and covers the rear side, wherein the front shell has on its rear side a circumferential, in particular circular, outer edge (1a), to which the cover shell is attached with a front side, correspondingly shaped outer edge (1b), wherein the outer edge of the cover shell is materially bonded to the outer edge of the front shell.
