ELECTRICALLY ACTUATED FRICTION BRAKE
DRIVE
September 7, 2016
In order to reduce the achievable actuation times of an electrically actuated friction brake while at the same time keeping the friction brake cost-effective, an electrically actuated friction brake is proposed with a brake pad (3) actuated by an actuation device (10), wherein the actuation device (10) is driven by a spring for braking and an electrical actuator (12) holds the friction brake (1) open, so that in the event of a power failure the spring actuates the friction brake (1), wherein a first transmission member (5), which is connected to the brake pad (3), and a second transmission member (8) with a lift curve (17) are provided on the actuation device (10) and a coupling member (15) is provided on the first transmission member (5), wherein a sensing element (14) is arranged on the coupling member (15), which sensing element scans the lift curve (17) under the action of the spring for actuation of the first transmission member (5).
