FUEL TABLET AND PROPELLANT FOR A GAS GENERATOR

The invention relates to a propellant tablet (20) for pyrotechnic safety devices in vehicles, such as airbag modules, seat belt pretensioners, microgenerators, and igniters. The propellant tablet according to the invention has a substantially cylindrical shape and is obtainable by dry pressing a powdery propellant composition. The tablet has a diameter of 0.8 mm to at most 2 mm and a ratio of height to diameter of 0.2 to 0.8. A propellant charge, an igniter, and a gas generator, each with a plurality of such propellant tablets, are provided.
