Light guiding device

The invention relates to a light guide device (2) for a lighting device (16), in particular for a motor vehicle or a display device in a rear-view device (22) of a motor vehicle, comprising a. a light coupling-in side (4) for coupling in light from a light source (18); b. a reflection side (6) with a reflection layer (8); and c. a light coupling-out side (10) which is substantially opposite the reflection side (6), wherein the distance between the reflection side (6) and the light coupling-out side (10) decreases substantially with increasing distance from the light coupling-in side (4) and the reflection side (6) with the reflection layer (8) is designed such that light coming from the light coupling-in side (4) is deflected toward the light coupling-out side (10).
