The invention relates to a vehicle seat with a seat part (2) and an upholstered body forming the seat part (2), which is covered by a covering (6). The upholstered body comprises at least a first foam (7) adjoining the covering (6), on which a vehicle occupant sitting on the seat part (2) sits, and a second foam (8), which has greater hardness than the first foam (7). An airbag module (3) is arranged in the seat part (2) on an outer side of the seat part (2), which comprises an inflatable air bag (4) and an inflation device (5) for deploying the air bag (4), wherein the airbag module (3) is surrounded on its front side facing a seat part front side, its inner side opposite the seat part outer side, and its rear side facing a seat part rear side by the second foam (8), which extends substantially to an upper side (10) of the airbag module (3) facing a seat part upper side. The invention furthermore relates to a motor vehicle with at least one such vehicle seat.
