DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSISTED DRIVING OF A VEHICLE

The invention provides a driver assistance system and a method for assisted operation of a vehicle. The method comprises the steps of: detecting (S01) a movement of an input device (118; 218) of the vehicle; detecting (S02) a traffic situation in an environment of the vehicle; controlling (S03) an actuator (120; 220) based on the detected movement of the input device (118; 218) and based on the detected traffic situation in accordance with a control program such that a first resistance against the movement of the input device (118; 218) is generated or increased and a second resistance against a movement opposite to the detected movement is maintained or reduced; wherein a resistance value with which the first resistance is generated or to which the first resistance is increased is adjusted as a function of the detected traffic situation.
