The invention relates to a shielding (1a..1d) made of a material with a magnetic conductivity or permeability of µr ≥ 4, in particular made of ferrite, for an annular transmitting coil/receiving coil (10) of a contactless energy transfer system (12). The shielding (1a..1d) encloses in a trough-like manner an annular region (A) between an outer larger rectangle (B) and an inner, smaller rectangle (C). In the region of the outer rectangle (B), the shielding (1a..1d) has on two opposite sides wing-like extensions (5) that are oriented in particular parallel to the trough bottom (2). Furthermore, a transmitter/receiver (9, 9a, 9b) with such a shielding (1a..1d) and a transmitting coil/receiving coil (10) embedded in the annular region (A) is specified. Finally, the invention also relates to an energy transfer system (12) with such a shielding (1a..1d)/such a transmitter (9a) as well as a receiving coil (9b) installed in a motor vehicle (14).
