An inventive modular low-floor transport system comprises at least one drive module, which has a drive base (100) and an associated drive chassis with at least one drive wheel (101) coupled to a drive, and at least one load-bearing module, which has a load-bearing base (200) and an associated load-bearing chassis with at least one unpowered load-bearing wheel (201), wherein the drive base and the load-bearing base are rigidly connected to one another with respect to a lifting direction (H), and wherein the drive chassis is movably mounted (112, 113) on the drive base in the lifting direction (H).
