The invention relates to a vehicle system (101) for transporting goods on the rail (400) in rail operation and on the road in road operation. The vehicle system (101) comprises a vehicle chassis, which has a vehicle frame (114). The vehicle chassis comprises at least one vehicle longitudinal side (160) and at least one vehicle transverse side (161). The vehicle system (101) comprises an undercarriage arranged at least in and/or under the vehicle chassis. The undercarriage comprises two rail wheel sets (7) and at least one road undercarriage (300). Furthermore, the vehicle system (101) comprises a support device (8) for lifting and/or supporting the vehicle chassis. The undercarriage of the vehicle system (101) comprises a support device (155) arranged under the vehicle frame (114) for supporting at least one pair of road wheel individual suspensions (150), which are opposite one another with respect to the vehicle longitudinal side (160) of the vehicle system (101), for road operation. Each road wheel individual suspension (150) comprises a rotary device (180) arranged on the support device (155), with which each road wheel individual suspension (150) is rotatable about a respective suspension rotation axis running parallel to the direction of the vehicle longitudinal side (160) of the vehicle system (101) such that the road wheel individual suspension (150) can be pivoted under the vehicle chassis during rail operation.
