A pneumatic tire comprising a tread (25), a belt structure (40, 50, 60, 70, 80) and a carcass (31) is disclosed. The belt structure comprises a zigzag belt structure (60) and a contrasting colored wear indicator structure (50) located either radially inward of the zigzag belt structure (60) or radially outward of the zigzag belt structure (60) and between the zigzag belt structure (60) and a belt layer (80).
