SYSTEM FOR COVERING A LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

The invention relates to a system (1) comprising a shelf (2) and two lateral cabinetries (3) of said compartment, said shelf comprising: a front flap (4); a central flap (5) articulated to said front flap according to a first transverse hinge (6); a rear flap (7) articulated to said central flap according to a second hinge (8) parallel to said first hinge, so that said shelf is operable between a use configuration, where all said flaps are coplanar, and a folded configuration, where said flaps are folded in accordion fashion; a return means for said central flap in folding toward said front flap, said system further comprising a reversible locking device of said shelf in use configuration comprising: a respective finger mounted movably on each of said cabinetries between a protruding locking position and a retracted unlocking position; a respective stop disposed laterally on either side of one of said central or rear flaps, said stop cooperating with the corresponding finger when in locking position to lock said shelf in use configuration.
