System for covering a luggage compartment of a motor vehicle

The invention concerns a system (1) for covering a luggage compartment of a motor vehicle, said system comprising a covering shelf (2) and two lateral cabinet pieces (3) for removable reception of said shelf, said shelf comprising at least one flap (4) rotatable about its front edge (5) between an operative configuration, where it is substantially horizontal, and a folded configuration allowing facilitated access to luggage, one of said cabinet pieces being provided with a device (6) for actuating rotation of said flap in one direction or the other, said device comprising an electric motor (7), said system being: ¢ located in a reception zone of a front corner (8) of said flap, ¢ arranged to engage onto said shelf, when it is mounted on said cabinet pieces, so as to be able to actuate rotation of said flap.
