The invention relates to a restraint bar for securing a person (1), in particular a child, in a seat of an amusement device, wherein the restraint bar (5) is pivotable via a hinge (4) between a first position, in which the seat can be occupied or vacated, and a second position, in which the person (1) is fixed in the seat in the hip region by a cross bar (6) of the restraint bar. According to the invention, the cross bar has at least one multi-part flexible skirt (7) fastened to the cross bar (6), which in the second position of the restraint bar (5) can rest on the thighs (8) of the person (1).
